Hoogwaterhuis Guest House layout
Hoogwaterhuis was built on three levels:
The upper level consists of an open plan dining area & lounge with fireplace flowing into each other as well as a kitchen with standard amenities and a guest toilet. The lounge has couches which can also serve as bunks to sleep extra guests. There are huge bay windows with giant views of the ocean and the Hangklip & Overberg mountains.
Upper level outside
Beside the upper level is a braai facility with a Milkwood tree, from where there is a splendid view of the slipway, lighthouse, and mountains.
Outside the lounge is a wrap-around balcony almost on top of the ocean, with amazing views.
From the upper level, a curving staircase leads to the rooftop area, with a spectacular 360-degree view of the entire bay, the Hangklip mountain, and the Overberg mountains further along.
An oak staircase leads downstairs to the lower level which is built into the rocks and contains a small garden, three bedrooms (King, Queen and Double bed) as well as the main bathroom with shower and bath. There are also lovely sea views from the bedrooms.
Staying at Hoogwaterhuis is a rustic experience for nature lovers. If you need to be soothed by the sound of the ocean while you sleep, relax and rejuvenate while inhaling healthy air, come and rest at Hoogwaterhuis.
