When Ruben Stander a leading Cape Town engineer purchased a portion of land forming part of the Hangklip Estate as it was known then it was his dream to build a house on the Rocky outcrop of Mast Bay. Completed in 1977 the House is a unique Architectural Masterpiece built entirely out Concrete and natural stone found on the surrounding beaches.
